Safeguarding Trees in and Around Kenmore

Published: 17/03/2025

Following a detailed assessment by our arborist and consultation with the PKC tree felling department, we have made the necessary decision to remove additional dead or diseased trees around the Estate. This proactive measure is essential to ensure public safety and to protect the health of the surrounding trees.

These trees, weakened by disease or decay, pose a risk of falling near pathways and roads, endangering walkers, and drivers. They also threaten the health of neighbouring trees, as diseases can spread through soil and root systems. By acting now, we are safeguarding the long-term beauty and stability of the estate’s natural environment.

The initial works, located near the Kenmore public toilets and close to the power lines, will take place on 21st March, coinciding with a scheduled SSEN power outage. To ensure the safety of workers and visitors, the A827 by the public toilets will operate as one-way traffic on this day. Path diversions will be managed by site staff around the works, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused during this essential maintenance.

We remain committed to ensuring the safety of all who enjoy the paths within this cherished conservation area and thank you for your support.
