Christmas in Kenmore 2025
A magical afternoon awaits on Saturday, 6th December as Kenmore’s much-loved Christmas event returns. Organised by Kenmore Community Council and supported by local businesses, including Taymouth Castle, the day promises to be a festive delight.
The village square will transform into a bustling Christmas market of local makers and independent stalls. Visitors can browse a wide selection of unique gifts and treats from cosy finger-knitted blankets and handmade soaps to crocheted clothing and resin jewellery.
Festivities will begin at the square with a performance from the Aberfeldy Gaelic Choir at 2.30pm. The wonderful music will continue throughout the afternoon with performances by local musicians and delightful Christmas carols from Kenmore Primary pupils. At 4.30pm a piper will guide visitors through the Winter Wonderland Walk to the Christmas light switch-on at 4.45pm. A standout moment every year.
Food lovers will be well catered for, with offerings from Ballintaggart, Kenmore Bakery and Breadalbane Bakery. For something warming, there will be hot toddies from Aberfeldy Dewar’s Distillery, mulled wine from the bar, and tea, coffee and mince pies served by Tay Lawers Coffee. There will also be candy floss, marshmallows to melt on the fire and hot dogs!

Families can visit the festive Santa’s Grotto in the Breadalbane Reading Rooms, complete with face painting and children’s crafts. To help manage queues, pre-school children are encouraged to attend between 2.45pm-4.15pm, with school-aged children welcomed between 5.00pm-6.00pm.
Across the village, there’s even more to enjoy, including puppet shows from the Scottish Crannog Centre and a lively programme in the Community Hall featuring disco dancing, nerf activities, a bouncy castle and the ever-popular teacups will be in the square.
Organisers ask visitors to follow event signage and marshal directions for free car parking. Entry is free, with a suggested donation for children’s activities (wristbands available). Both cash and card payments will be accepted.
Taymouth Castle is proud to support this important community event and wishes everyone an enjoyable start to the festive season.
