Community Open Day 2025
This event has finished. Thank you to all who attended.
Following the overwhelming response to last year’s event, we’re delighted to announce a second Taymouth Castle Community Open Day on Saturday, 25th October 2025.
As with last year, this tour is only open to permanent residents living in postcode areas: PH15 2, PH9 0, and FK21 8.
If you missed out on tickets last year, this is your opportunity to step inside the Castle and see the extraordinary restoration first-hand. For those who attended previously, we kindly ask you to consider giving your neighbours a chance to experience it this year, as tickets remain very limited.
Time slots throughout the day will be available to reserve on a first-come, first-served basis via an online ticketing system, which will go live on 9th October at 12 noon at welcometotaymouth.com.
Guided Tour
As before, guests will enjoy a guided tour of Taymouth Castle’s reception rooms and meet some of the talented artisans who have played a part in bringing the building back to life. Along the way, you’ll discover the Castle’s fascinating history and the meticulous skills behind its preservation.
On the Day
- Parking & Registration: Parking will be available in Kenmore (full details will be included in your ticket confirmation). From there, it’s a short walk to the Kenmore Sports Pavilion for registration, then you will board a shuttle minibus to the Castle.
- What to Bring: Please bring your ticket confirmation and proof of address. If you don’t have access to a printer or smartphone, our staff will assist you on arrival.
- The Tour: A 90-minute guided restoration tour, after which you’ll return by shuttle to Kenmore.
