Fly fishing for trout is permitted from the north bank of the river between Kenmore Bridge and Chinese Bridge. All catches should be reported online and include the location, species, length and weight of fish. This will permit us to secure accurate information relating to the health and number of fish in Estate waters. To preserve fish stocks, we request that all fish be returned to the river unharmed, except Rainbow Trout.

Permits are available from 15th March to 6th October 2026 (Monday to Saturday). Daily permits are priced at £1 for permanent local residents and £12.50 for visitors. To apply, please complete the permit application form.
