The Taymouth Castle team is thrilled to support the Kenmore Highland Games on 03 July 2024.

Held annually since 1975 at the Sports Field in Kenmore and managed by the Kenmore & District Sports Association (KDSA), the much-loved ‘Friendly Games’ attract visitors eager to enjoy traditional heavy events such as the shot putt, hammer throw, Caber toss, Sheath toss and throwing the Tirinie Stone (110lbs) as well as the Tug of War, a hill race and children’s races.

There will be food and drink a plenty, trade stands, and unmissable traditional Highland dancing and piping competitions with the Vale of Atholl Pipe Band officially welcoming everyone at 6 pm.

Colin Menzies and Sarah Kelly, members of the KDSA committee said: “We are delighted that Taymouth Castle has kindly agreed to sponsor the event again this year. They have also given a significant boost to the grass cutting to help ensure the event area looks as best as it can.”

All proceeds from the Highland Games go back into improving and maintaining the Sports Field for community use. We hope to see you there!
