We are delighted to invite you to our Taymouth Castle Open Event on the 12th October 2024
This ticketed event will celebrate the craftsmanship of the talented artisans who have returned Taymouth Castle to its former glory.
GUIDED TOUR
Guests will experience a guided tour of the Castle’s reception rooms and meet artisans who have contributed to the project. The tour will explore Taymouth’s rich history and the meticulous processes and skills involved in its preservation.
Please note that on the Community Open Day, parking will be available in Kenmore (your ticket confirmation will include all details) with a short walk required to register at the Reading Rooms and where a shuttle minibus will be provided to Taymouth Castle. The tour will involve steps.
Ensure you take the ticket confirmation email with you to register, along with proof of address. If you don’t have a phone or a printer, please speak to staff on arrival.
TOUR
You will be accompanied by a tour guide onto a bus, which will take you to Taymouth Castle. The restoration tour will last 90 minutes, after which you will embark on a bus back to Kenmore.
Refreshments and treats from Kenmore Bakery will be available back at the Reading Rooms, where you can collect a commemorative booklet.

In the interest of the safety and enjoyment of our guests, please note:
- The Community Open Day is a non-smoking event (no vapes or e-cigarettes).
- To protect the renovation works and our artisans, taking photographs or videos will not be permitted during the Community Open Day.
- Pets are not allowed.
- Children must be supervised at all times.
- Please listen to the fire safety information brief and follow guidance from your tour guide.
- Please keep mobile phones on silent whilst inside the Castle.
- This event is open to individuals whose main residence is in PH15 2, PH9 0 and FK21 8 only; you may be asked to provide proof of address.
- A maximum of 2 tickets per household will be issued.
- Tickets are non-transferrable. If you can no longer attend, please see cancel link within your confirmation email so that tickets can be re-allocated.
- CCTV is in operation across the site.
