Reviving History with Warm Spaces
Kenmore is a village with a rich heritage and strong community values that strongly resonate with the team at Taymouth Castle. It is for these reasons that we are thrilled to support the Warm Spaces programme at the Breadalbane Reading Room.
A valuable addition to the community, the Warm Spaces programme provides a dedicated space for locals to come together, socialise and enjoy a wonderful bowl of soup, hot drink and Taymouth Castle’s very own freshly baked cookies. A haven to many locals over the cold winter months, the Warm Spaces programme will continue to open its doors every Thursday, from 1:30pm – 4:30pm, until the end of March.
Led by Jon Iddon and a dedicated team of volunteers, this programme is just one of several initiatives aimed at breathing new life into the Reading Room. Once home to the local library and community playgroup, the Reading Room has been a beloved fixture in the community for generations.
Alongside Warm Spaces, the committee is busy organising various fundraising events, all to transform the Reading Room back into a vibrant community hub and resilience centre.
We appreciate the chance to support this project and invite anyone interested in volunteering at the Reading Room to contact Jon at stevenjon5@hotmail.com.
